Dr. Angelopoulos is an experienced and compassionate Gynaecologist who works with women to ensure they understand and are comfortable with the treatments he recommends.
His experience is extensive, and his approach down-to-earth, using only everyday language that reflects his respect and empathy for the women in his care.
He is passionate about maintaining a high standard of care within organisations and educating the next generation of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists to deliver high-quality, woman-centered care.

Meet Dr. Angelopoulos' family
Dr. Angelopoulos is married to his beautiful wife, Carla whom he met during his studies in Medicine at Stellenbosch University in South Africa. They got married in 1995 and have been married for 26 years.
After moving to England in 1996, he specialised as an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and they welcomed their two daughters into the world. The oldest daughter is studying Architecture & Environmental Sustainability and the youngest wants to be a Vet.
In 2012, Dr. Angelopoulos and his family moved to the Central Coast where he began his work at Gosford Hospital.

Biography
Born in South Africa, Dr. Angelopoulos graduated from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa in 1993.
After completing his speciality training on the Oxford Training Programme in the UK, with advanced training in benign abdominal, vaginal and laparoscopic surgery, Dr. Angelopoulos moved to the NSW Central Coast, where he shares his extensive knowledge as a Conjoint Lecturer with the University of Newcastle, and as an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist across both the public and private hospital sectors.
Dr. Angelopoulos currently consults in his private room from KidsPoint Mingara, a specialist clinic in Gosford and also performs gynaecological surgery at both Gosford Private Hospital and Tuggerah Lakes Private Hospital.

How do I make an appointment?To make an appointment, call and speak to our friendly reception staff by calling 02 4335 4000 or send an email to admin@kidspointmingara.com.au.

Do I need a referral?If you are a Medicare card holder and wish to claim a rebate from Medicare it is required to have a referral from either your GP or another specialist. GP referral is preferred as it lasts 12 months, whereas a specialist referral is valid for 3 months only. Patients who do not wish to claim Medicare benefits or do not have Medicare do not need a referral.

Do I need to have private health cover to see the specialist?No. Health Insurance unfortunately does not cover the costs of out of hospital expenses. But the advantage of having private health fund is that it may cover in hospital costs if you need any surgery.

How long will I have to wait for my first appointment?Most often appointments can be scheduled within 2 weeks.

What should I bring to my first consult?Medicare card A referral from your General Practitioner Any medications you are currently taking Any surgery reports you have that may be related to your current problem All reports available which have been done for both you and your partner for infertility patients.

I’m on my period. Should I reschedule my appointment?No, as long as you are comfortable with it.

Can you claim Medicare on my behalf?Yes, we will submit your claim to Medicare on your behalf. To be eligible, you will need to have your Medicare card, a valid referral letter and credit card which we can swipe into the EFTPOS machine.

Do you have EFTPOS facility?For your convenience we accept EFTPOS transactions by all major debit and credit cards as well as cash.
